You may remember GoDaddy web hosting from their scintillating Super Bowl advertising of the past two years and celebrity spokespeople (including race car drivers Danica Patrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.). We remember Go Daddy for their long-standing tradition of providing an affordable blizzard of shared hosting plans, domain services, email services, virtual and dedicated servers, and business solutions. For the purposes of this review, we’ll focus on their shared hosting plans – not their clever ads or plethora of other hosting options.
When we say “affordable” in this case, what we really mean is “downright cheap.” GoDaddy is the all-you-can-eat smorgasbord of shared hosting providers. You might find more and fancier dishes (read: frills) elsewhere, but it’s doubtful you’ll find a better price for the features you will get. The absolute best value here is the deluxe plan offering 150 GB disk space and 1500 GB bandwidth, available for as low as $5.94/month. This hosting package can handle a growing business or a personal website for sharing lots of pictures and information. Every package comes with access to Go Daddy’s hosting connection – over 50 applications in one easy to access, quick install location. Go Daddy might very well be the world’s large web hosting service, currently managing well over 30 million domains. With such low prices and such high customer satisfaction, it’s easy to see why. Sometimes, it’s a good idea to join the crowd. |
